(Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban) NEW!
A wonderful Adaptation of the Novel, June 14, 2004
Reviewer: (A person who does not want to be known) from Malaysia
I think this film is the best of the three....in fact it's so much better than the previous two. I'm really pleased that Alfonso Cuaron did a marvellous job at directing this film. Chris Columbus should just stay put as the producer and forget about directing any of the next four films. We've all seen the results of his work in Sorceror's Stone and Chamber of Secrets....utter rubbish!

A thumbs-up for Dan Radcliffe. His acting has improved tremendously, less wooden and he exudes more emotions. And I absolutely loved Michael Gambon's performance as Albus Dumbledore. Gambon gives his character an eccentric quality, and he's every bit of the Dumbledore I imagined when I read the books. Richard Harris was just too ill-looking as Dumbledore.

Overall, this film contains more substance and I'm glad they didn't drag the movie like the previous two. 140 minutes seems fine...not too long, not too short. I really didn't mind the film having less of the 'magic' feeling....Chris Columbus tried that in his previous efforts and he really made Sorceror's Stone and Chamber of Secrets look extremely cheesy. I'm really glad that Columbus left the director's chair for good....before he does more damage to the future Harry Potter films.

I really wish those purist fans will just stop ranting about Alfonso Cuaron cutting out some of the most memorable scenes of the book from the film. So what if there isn't a Quiditch Final? Putting that scene in the final cut would just disrupt the continuous flow of the already-perfect storyline. And I'd like to remind everyone that this is an adaptation of the novel, not a visual recording of jk Rowling's masterpiece. Films and novels are two different genres altogether. You can't just cram the whole novel in one movie. Sometimes, good directors make good adaptations of novels at the expense of leaving out important details. It's inevitable! If those dumb purists want every single detail to be included in the final cut, JUST READ THE GODDAMN BOOK!

All Harry Potter fans should go and watch this film. It's undoubtedly the most brilliant summer film of the year.

(From Justin To Kelly)
Fun Simple Movie, June 8, 2004
Reviewer: John Wiley (see more about me) from beach
From Justin to Kelly is a fun simple movie, ideal for a summer afternoon. It has a simple plot involving text messages getting sent to the wrong person and several misunderstandings.

Not much can be said about this movie. There's nothing to read into, and if you miss a scene you don't have to worry about being lost the rest of the movie. The direction is great and fun and full of bright colors.

The music is ok. Some songs are a lot of fun (Sugar), then there are some that are painful. Most of the dancing is really fun also...even though they do dance with beach balls and blankets.

As for the special features...well you can skip the commentary. There's nothing special there, a few fun moments but nothing worth watching it again. And as for the rest of the special features...don't waste your time. There is one deleted scene however...where it's revealed that two of the characters are gay...watch it and you'll understand why it was cut.

So watch the movie and have a laff. And what do you have to lose? And besides, it has Brandon Henschel in it!

(The Cheetah Girls)
A really great movie, seriously!, June 13, 2004
Reviewer: (Elizabeth) from USA
I first saw this movie and I was amazed! This is about the times turning when "The Cheetah Girls" are practicing for the talent show. Somethings started to change when Jackel Johnson who gives them a chance to record their own music on a CD! Friendship is one thing you dont want to loose. When their friendship breaks up but on the end they learn their differences and make up. The music is spectacular and you would just want to dance to it. Lol. Buy it because its not a waste of money!

****Enjoy!****

 Club Dread
This movie is so called a Comedy/Slasher. And is true to that. From the creators of Super Troopers this will be sure to bring laughs. Well not as much as you think it would but still is entertaining. The story is just as the same as other Killer movies. A bunch of friends are on an island for a huge party. Then all of a sudden people start dying one by one. Jokes are being flow one after another but most of them are sex jokes like the comedy series Scary Movie. This movie is full of drugs (of corse right) and is still what funny. There is some Mexican character and he pernouces this girl named Penelope, Pinalope. Stupid but funny. It is a somewhat Beach party movie (like From Justin To Kelly) mixed with (I Know What You Did Last Summer). So if you liked Scary Movie 1/2/3 you might wanna check this one out. Not many people saw this in theaters so it was doomed not to stay in long. It was also not advertised enough. Which is very bad for such an okay movie like this.
Oh yea if your parents don't like these kind of movies then DONOT WATCH THIS WITH THEM NO MATTER WHAT. Unless they like seeing people do drugs/muder.etc. SO THIS IS A WARNING. Thanks for reading!
